What an incredible honor it is to host Point Blank as they bring their music back to a live audience, along with Blackhorse. This is a must be here night for sure! Point Blank was a powerhouse when they came on the music scene in 1974, hailing from Irving , TX. The band has had several official lineups over the years. The current band includes Bubba Keith - Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica; Mike Sauce - Vocals, Guitar; Tuffy Burkhart - Vocals, Guitar; Rex Mauney - Keyboards, Vocals; Mike Mikeska - Drums, Vocals and Kevin Davis - Bass, Vocals.
Our mission is to perform the music of all previous Point Blank lineups, honoring their incredible legacy. We want to bring back fond memories of the good times we shared together and, through our music, inspire new members to join our Point Blank family.
Blackhorse is a 3-piece band of immense power and emotion, whose concert appearances have been aptly hailed as “kick ass”.
There have been several versions of Blackhorse, dating back to 1972 when John Teague, Frank Dison and Gary James co-founded the band in Mineral Wells, TX. Teague – drums and vocals, Dison – bass and vocals, and James – lead guitar and vocals.
After Frank left the band in 1974 bassist Paul “Pappy” Middleton joined the band and they released their debut album Blackhorse in 1979! After 10 years of regional success, Paul Middleton left and the band picked up Donnie Pendleton and merged back in with Frank Dison. This version of Blackhorse has been together now for 9 years, playing shows throughout the Midwest, recording a new soon to be released album and just having fun!
